Message of Commissioner of PoliceManoj Abraham IPS
Commissioner of Police
Kochi City Police has always been in the forefront when it comes to adopting new technologies and the challenges that comes along with them. The city being a information gateway, plays a leading role in the digital map as more and more people are joining the cyber world on a daily basis. This has also caused an increase in the number of crimes happening through the virtual world.
In modern society, where all social activity relies on information technology, actions to establish information and cyber security should be carried out in parallel with actions for proactive information use. And these actions must be designed to encourage building a secure cyber culture and to boost information value. Cyber Safe is an initiative aimed to achieve this goal. I am confident that this initiative will help us in preparing ourself for facing the latest challenges in hi-tech and cyber crimes and also in establishing a better co-ordination with various agencies related to the cyber world. We welcome your candid opinions and comment. On the eve of Cyber Security Day , I wish you all a safe and secure Cyber World.
